GILSON DAUB OPENS OKLAHOMA CITY OFFICE
The new location is part of the firm’s continued Midwest expansion and marks the fourth new office in the region since Q4 2022
OKLAHOMA CITY – July 13, 2023 – Gilson Daub, a leading workers’ compensation defense and subrogation law firm, today announced that it has opened a new office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as part of its ongoing strategic expansion efforts in the Midwest and across the country. The office will be managed by seasoned workers’ comp attorney Steven Hanna and will be located at 7301 Broadway Extension, Suite 228, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. The opening of this office comes on the heels of other regional expansion efforts, including a recently opened office in Peoria, Illinois, and two new offices in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri.
Clients the firm will represent in Oklahoma City include a wide range of industries, encompassing manufacturing, auto, senior care, retail, and more.
“As our firm continues to grow its footprint across the country, two very important things must be considered when opening a new office: leadership and client base. With more than 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation, an excellent track record with clients, and a strong yet approachable leadership style, I could not think of anyone better to oversee our work in Oklahoma than Steve Hanna,” said Brent Daub, Gilson Daub senior founding partner. “Steve will not only service our growing regional client base with skillful knowledge; he will also bring a plethora of new clients to the firm, further strengthening our foothold on workers’ compensation defense work in the Midwest.”
Steve joins Gilson Daub from Testan Law, where he has served clients in the Oklahoma City area since 2021. Before Testan, he was an attorney with Bonham & Howard for nearly 12 years where his practice focused on workers’ compensation defense and select district court defense work. A practicing attorney since 1990, his vast experience also includes positions with the Oklahoma State Insurance Fund, a leading national insurance carrier, and various other law firms. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in politics and government from East Central University and attended law school at the University of Tulsa, where he was named to the Order of the Barristers and recognized for excellence in Courtroom Advocacy. Throughout his career, Steve has also been a speaker and author on many Oklahoma workers’ compensation issues, and he has served on the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section, including being named Chairman in 2002.
“I have always been impressed with Gilson Daub’s approach to the practice of workers’ comp law and the firm’s focus on closing cases quickly – which is ultimately in the client’s best interest,” said Hanna. “As a results-focused attorney myself, I am thrilled to be joining such a like-minded team and I am looking forward to growing the firm here in Oklahoma and throughout the region.”
Joining Steve in Gilson Daub’s Oklahoma City office is associate Andrew Abraham. Andrew joins the firm from McAtee & Woods where he was a civil defense attorney. His experience also includes being a certified mediator at Early Settlement Mediation and a judicial intern under Judge Robert Hudson in the Oklahoma Criminal Court of Appeals. He completed his bachelor’s degree in science at the University of Oklahoma and received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2021.
