Gilson Daub is proud to announce the opening of its first Hawaii office in Honolulu. Gilson Daub is a law firm specializing in all matters related to workers’ compensation defense, including but not limited to cases in chief, subrogation and Labor Code violations.
Founder and Senior Partner Brent Daub is enthusiastic about opening this new office. “Taking our proven strategies to the state of Hawaii is an exciting opportunity for the firm. The Hawaii team will consist of attorneys Brent Daub, Derek Turbin, and Joan Bernstein. They have combined experience in Hawaii and California of over 50 years. The office opened for business on July 23, 2019 and will be located at the Pacific Guardian Center, on Bishop Street and Queen Street in downtown Honolulu. While the office location is in Honolulu, the team will serve all of the Hawaiian islands. Gilson Daub represents local and nationwide self-insureds, employers, insurance carriers, municipalities, and third-party administrators in all venues in California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Missouri, and Kansas.
Oahu born attorney Derek Turbin explains his excitement for the new office, “I look forward to supporting Hawaii’s business owners and employers, by providing passionate and zealous representation.” Attorney Joan Bernstein also commented, “I have been practicing workers’ compensation law for almost 30 years in Hawaii and California. Having lived on Maui, I am aware of the intricacies of Hawaiian business practices and their special needs.
