Gilson Daub Expands Footprint Into South Dakota
Continued regional growth reflects the firm’s commitment to providing premier workers’ compensation defense services across an increasingly broad client base
OMAHA, Neb. – [November X, 2025] – Gilson Daub, a leading national workers’ compensation defense, subrogation, and civil litigation law firm, today announced its expansion into South Dakota. The new state practice will be based out of the firm’s Omaha office and led by attorney Madaline (Maddy) McGill.
The move marks the latest step in Gilson Daub’s continued strategic growth across the Midwest. In the last two years alone, the firm has opened five new regional offices strengthening its client partnerships and expanding service capabilities throughout the central United States.

McGill joined Gilson Daub in May 2025 and has quickly become a key contributor to the firm’s Midwest practice. Recognized by colleagues for her collaborative leadership style and strong client relationships, she represents a diverse portfolio of employers, including national retailers, trucking companies, and other regional businesses.
Prior to joining the firm, McGill practiced workers’ compensation defense at Hennessy & Roach, P.C. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is licensed to practice in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa and she serves on the board of the Nebraska Claims Association.
