How Okla. High Court Ruling Will Alter Workers’ Comp. Cases

On Sept. 9, the Oklahoma Supreme Court released a decision in OBI Holding Company v. Schultz-Butzbach that will alter how attorneys on both sides of a workers’ compensation claim handle their files. In 2014, the Oklahoma Legislature converted the workers’ compensation system from a court system to an administrative commission in an attempt to make it more responsive, less expensive and more efficient.
