GILSON DAUB NOW NATIONWIDE: OPENS FORT LAUDERDALE OFFICE

The new location, led by seasoned workers’ comp attorney Christine Nixon-Calamari, marks the first office for the firm on the east coast 

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Jan 9, 2024 – Gilson Daub, a leading workers’ compensation defense, subrogation, and civil litigation law firm, today announced that it has opened a new office in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. as part of its strategic expansion efforts across the country. Managed and led by local seasoned workers’ comp attorney, Christine Nixon-Calamari, today’s announcement is the firm’s first of the New Year, after 2023 already saw tremendous growth marked by three new office openings and an extension into the practice area of civil litigation.

Christine has been handling workers’ compensation cases in Florida since 1999, and has litigated complex cases including death claims, occupational disease, and heart and lung claims. She is also certified by the State of Florida as an instructor of Insurance Education for workers’ compensation adjusters. Prior to working at Gilson Daub, she was with Testan Law and managed her own law office for 15 years. She is active in the community and was appointed by the Florida Governor to the South Florida Regional Planning Council where she served as a council member. She was also named Businesswoman of the year by the National Congressional Committee’s Business Advisory Council. Community service is important to Christine, and she actively volunteers at Life Fellowship and Feeding Across South Florida.

Christine received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Miami and she earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law. Christine is licensed to practice law in all Florida State Courts as well as the District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Clients the firm will represent out of this new office represent a wide range of industries, encompassing retail, healthcare, carriers and more.
