Gilson Daub Spotlight: Seasoned Attorney Patrick Mack Joins Gilson Daub to Expand the Firm’s Practice to Nebraska and Iowa

SEASONED ATTORNEY PATRICK MACK JOINS GILSON DAUB TO EXPAND THE FIRM’S PRACTICE TO NEBRASKA AND IOWA

Move strengthens firm’s presence in the Midwest with experienced leadership and a full-service legal team

OMAHA, Neb. – [May 1, 2025] – Gilson Daub, a leading workers’ compensation defense, subrogation, and civil litigation law firm, proudly announces its expansion into the states of Nebraska and Iowa under the leadership of Patrick Mack, who joins the firm as Partner and Managing Attorney of its newly opened Omaha office.

Accompanying Mack to Gilson Daub is a team of three attorneys and one paralegal: Madaline McGill (trial attorney), Nich Rush (trial attorney), Ben Schulz (trial attorney), and Melissa Rojas (paralegal) all of whom worked previously with him at Hennessy & Roach, P.C.

Mack, a seasoned litigator with more than 15 years of experience, is licensed to practice law in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. With extensive experience representing clients in all four states, he handles a wide range of workers’ compensation matters, from pro-se settlements to complex appeals, aggressively advocating for his clients before appellate bodies, including state supreme courts. He also represents clients in third-party subrogation matters and is a certified mediator for Nebraska workers’ compensation cases.

Currently, Mack is serving his second term as President of the Nebraska Claims Association (NCA), having previously held the role of Vice President. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Omaha Claims Litigation Management (CLM) Chapter. Mack received his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Washburn University.

Of this new role, Mack says, “Gilson Daub’s commitment to its people, their development, and exceptional client service aligns perfectly with my own core values and professional goals. The opportunity to help build something meaningful with a like-minded team while mentoring the next generation of attorneys is truly exciting, and I look forward to establishing our Omaha office as a trusted resource for clients across Nebraska and Iowa.”

With a strong client portfolio that includes trucking companies, distribution centers, public utilities, school systems, and national retailers, Mack and his team are already well-positioned to bring tremendous value to both new and existing Gilson Daub clients across the region.

“Our firm has been growing rapidly throughout the Midwest, and the states of Nebraska and Iowa have long been on our radar,” said Brent Daub, senior founding partner of Gilson Daub. “Patrick’s leadership style, legal acumen, and ability to build and retain a respected team made it clear he was the right person to lead this expansion. We’re excited to see the Omaha office flourish under his guidance.”

As such, the opening of the Omaha office is a strategic move that aligns with Gilson Daub’s broader Midwest growth initiative, creating synergy with its Kansas and Missouri offices and enabling seamless support for multi-jurisdictional cases across an important region of the country.
