Gilson Daub Spotlight: Partner, Beth Koller, Leads ClaimsXChange 2024 Claims Academy – Workers’ Comp
From July 17-18, 2024, Gilson Daub partner and managing attorney, Beth Koller, took center stage in Chicago, where she joined a distinguished group of industry leaders for the inaugural Workers’ Compensation Claims Academy. Serving as Provost, Beth, alongside two esteemed colleagues, spearheaded this immersive two-day program, delivering a rigorous and innovative curriculum designed to elevate the expertise of workers’ compensation professionals nationwide.
With a diverse group of 10 participants—ranging from seasoned claims handlers eager to deepen their expertise to newcomers eager to break into the field—the Academy offered comprehensive coverage of key topics. Attendees delved into medical and disability management, settlement and negotiation strategies, subrogation and lien management, and much more.
Upon completing the program, participants earned the prestigious Insurance Claims Management Specialist (ICMS) designation. ClaimsXChange proudly noted, “The ICMS designation represents ClaimsAcademy graduates’ mastery of cutting-edge subject matter and commitment to continuous improvement, setting a new standard of excellence for claims professionals.”
Beyond the intensive learning sessions, attendees enjoyed a memorable Chicago River cruise and networking event, fostering connections and camaraderie within the industry.
