Gilson Daub Enters Indiana, its Tenth State of Practice
Welcomes Katerina Kyros as Partner
Firm now covers key regions across the Midwest, West Coast, and Southeast, offering a broad reach that spans major metropolitan areas and diverse client industries
Chicago, IL – December 16, 2024 – Gilson Daub, a leading workers’ compensation defense, subrogation, and civil litigation law firm, announced today that Katerina Kyros has joined its team as Partner. With over 20 years of legal expertise, Kyros will play a key role in expanding the Firm’s services into Indiana, which pushes the number of Gilson Daub offices to a total of 10 states.
Kyros is admitted to practice in Illinois and Indiana and will be overseeing cases in both jurisdictions. She has extensive litigation experience, having argued and handled cases before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Circuit Court of Illinois, the Appellate Court of Illinois and the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Chicago, and she earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Her vast client roster includes leading names in the entertainment industry and large commercial enterprises, underscoring her broad expertise across multiple sectors.
“Onboarding Katerina and opening an office in Indiana marks a significant milestone for us and represents a pivotal step for the Firm as we continue to grow our footprint in the Midwest and across the country,” said Brent Daub, Senior Founding Partner of Gilson Daub. “Katerina is uniquely qualified to lead our efforts in Indiana, and along with her extensive experience in Illinois—particularly within the entertainment and commercial sectors— we are confident she will bolster the Firm’s capabilities as we continue to expand.”
In addition to being a trusted workers’ compensation defense attorney, Kyros is a frequent speaker at seminars on workers’ compensation law and she recently served as a professor at ClaimsXchange, which connects innovative and collaborative professionals who share a passion for advancing the claims industry. Kyros is also deeply involved in her community through her role with the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood, a philanthropic organization supporting her cultural heritage in Greece.
“I’m honored to play a key role in expanding Gilson Daub’s footprint in the Midwest,” said Kyros. “The Firm is innovative, modern, and progressive – and is a perfect match for what I was looking for as the next step forward in my career,” commented Kyros. “With Gilson Daub’s established reputation in other states and our shared commitment to delivering excellent legal services, I’m excited to be part of a team that’s poised for even larger expansion, and I look forward to helping to continue strengthening our presence in this growing market.”
In the past two years, Gilson Daub has opened new offices in Illinois, Florida, Oklahoma, and now Indiana, as its tenth state. This announcement represents a major milestone in Gilson Daub’s continued efforts to expand and strengthen its footprint nationwide and from coast to coast.
